To the city that never sleeps....

In a little over a week, I will be in New York as a tourist for the first time.  I'm going to be honest, I'm pretty stoked.  Every other time I have been to New York has been for a connecting flight and never had enough time to exit the doors of the airport and experience the city for a couple of hours.

So, get ready to be jealous....Friday night, I have tickets to the first Yankee series of the last season in the original Yankee Stadium.  If this was all I was doing in New York, I would be a happy and content woman.  Saturday is full of going to Times Square, blowing a lot of money on fabulous clothes, eating at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in NYC, and then going to see "Wicked" on Broadway.  Even though, I only get to spend a weekend there, I am doing the things I have always said I wanted to do once I had the opportunity to visit New York.  All of my close friends knew of my desire to see a Yankees game in the original Yankee Stadium before moving to their brand new stadium.  Well, I waited until the absolute final season to fulfill that request.

I will be meeting my unbelievable parents in NYC since I will be working a couple of days next week and they are as excited, if not more excited, as I am.  As excited as I am about this trip, it comes at a perfect time with all of the wedding planning going on and the marathon of showers that is about to ensue.  This summer is molding out to be the greatest summer of my life.  How lucky can a girl get?  My entire family from Lebanon is jumping on a plane with the family moonshine and trucking it over seas to the United States for my wedding; all of my closest friends are getting together at least once a month to throw me and Michael showers; we  get free gifts off of my wish-list; I get to experience my wedding and savor every moment; I get to celebrate with every single person that means the most to me and Michael and know that they have been a crucial part in our lives; wake up at 2 AM and head to the airport to catch our flight to the heavenly St. Lucia (no, I did not book that flight...that would be Mr. Fiance.)

Well, it looks like my preview to New York turned into talking about my wedding (that seems to be the trend lately:) ).  Alright, better get back to do something productive.

And for my WVU friends, Let's Gooooooo Mountaineers!!!  (even though you broke my Dukie heart :(  )
