Even though this is college football season, I am still madly in love with the MLB postseason. Currently, I am watching the Indians/Yankees game in the top of the 5th inning with the score 6-1 Indians. I'm not quite sure what to say other than...WTF?!
As a loyal Yankees fan, I'm sick and tired of losing in the postseason. Granted, this game is far from over, but this feeling I get every time the ALDS rolls around is getting old. And what makes it worse is the fact that we have some of the best talent sucking it up night after night when we need a win the most.
Yes, I know. I am whining like a little baby. It's what we Yankee fans do best. But, Christ, can the most overpaid professional athletes on the planet produce a little more than an 0-4 night and hitting into double plays with the bases loaded? I guess I can only hope...
As for Joe Torre, Steinbrenner is a complete idiot. I have never agreed with his ultimatums and bullying tactics; they never work. And the fact that he is about to run Joe Torre out of the Yankees organization is a pure shame. Torre is quite possibly the only reason the Yankees made it to the postseason this year and he continues to find a way each year to get all of the boneheads wearing the pinstripes to pull together enough to score some runs.
Frustration doesn't quite cover it; I'm just downright pissed off. Maybe with some miracle we will win this game and possibly the series....it will take a miracle.
