valentine's 2010

what a great weekend!

saturday morning, i woke up to the smell of fresh coffee, homeade hash, scrambled eggs, and fresh flowers. seriously? what did i do to deserve this? a perfect start to the weekend; the hubs is a wonderful romantic that i am forever grateful for.

the night before we had gone to see jim gaffigan (my present to michael for his birthday). the show was amazing; however, the journey to the show was horrific. thanks to my inability to read our GPS's mind, we missed a turn. well, hell. we left dinner early thinking we would have plenty of time to make it downtown. ahem.

an hour later, we were in line, blocking traffic, trying to get into the parking garage. needless to say, a total nightmare. next time, we are eating dinner next to the stinking theater. i didn't know that many people in houston would be at the same place we would be at the same freaking time.

as for the actual activities for v-day, we had dinner at a little cafe next to the house and michael had gotten us tickets to see Miss Saigon, the musical. it. was. incredible. it was definitely refreshing and something out of the ordinary for us to do. Very well produced play and an excellent story line. I highly recommend it:)

hope all of you had a wonderful, safe valentine's day and i continue to pray that we will all treat those that we love as special as we treat each other on a marketing driven holiday every day:)

g'day.

2010

not too sure where i have been these past 6-7 months or so, but i sure haven't been on my blog. i guess life just got in the way.

a lot has happened since my last post about our one year anniversary trip. my job is still amazing as usual. we added some new people to our team, which has been very refreshing. it's always nice going into "war" with good friends :)

we spent Christmas in with our families, and my uncles came from Lebanon for the holidays as well. we actually had a blast spending time with our cousins. for those who don't know, i'm the oldest grandchild on my mom's side. so, it's always a lot of fun seeing all the kids running around and watching them grow and mature into future of our world.

alabama beat the crap out of florida and then proceeded to beat the crap out of texas and their wimpy little quarterback for the national championship. 13. booyah.

and we just booked tickets to lebanon to go visit the family and to show my sweet hubby why i am the way i am. i can hardly wait.

on a side note, houston is starting to grow on me. i never thought i would say that, but it is. it still will never be "home" but i'm beginning to get accustomed to the city itself. it took me long enough. i am still loving our house, it's so nice to come home to after a long day at work and it's not in the middle of the business of the city.

well, hopefully i will be a little more diligent in updating this damn thing. i hope all of you are well and roll tide.
