evacuees
sitting in nashville wondering what our apartment and our new house looks like at this point in houston. our return flight, of course, has been cancelled.
my prayers are with our friends and family who decided to stay in houston. thank God we got out of there in time.
hopefully we'll be back monday to assess the damage and get our lives back in order.
in the meantime, we are fine and enjoying all of our friends and the amazingness that is nashville.
go 'dores and roll tide!
see you guys from the disaster areas in houston in a couple of days.

hurricane party?
reading back over my last post, i realized that i had mentioned the pending onslaught of hurricane gustav.
well, here we go again...only this time, this damn hurricane ike is trying to screw with our weekend plans. me and the hubby are heading to nashville this weekend (one of my favorite places on earth) to spend time with great friends and go to the vandy/rice game.
with a friday afternoon departure, a little problem awaits us. that problem is the takeoff. there is no way in hell that plane is going to take off with storming weather all around us, not to mention the category 4 hurricane that is expected to make landfall a couple hours later.
in the meantime, i'll be at the hospital working and monitoring that damn radar to see where hurricane ike has decided to go now.
on a positive note, had the inspection today on the new house and it went very well. can't wait to get all of this red tape b.s. over with so that we can actually move in to our new home.
thank goodness it's the end of the week. i'll be in nashville...come hell or high water....literally.
