tide is rising

with hurricane gustav bearing down on the gulf coast, the tide, winds, and water is what people fear most when hurricanes make landfall.  the mass destruction that incurs is unimaginable.

well, MY tide has made landfall. i do not want to  get my hopes up because i still think that we are one year away; but, the performance that MY crimson tide put on last night should leave people with nothing but praises to say about the U of A. 

i don't want to hear that Clemson was "overrated" and they were unprepared. that is bullshit. 

we whipped them up and down that field for 4 quarters. and all of this "thunder and lightning" hype....well, i believe 0 total rushing yards sums that performance up pretty good. 

i cannot even imagine the team we will have in three years, assuming all of our freshmen stay on campus instead of making the jump to the NFL.

if you only knew the exictement that is brewing within my body...

now the task is consistency and not letting our heads get to big for our own good. can't wait to head back to tuscaloosa and take the hubby with me to expose him to how real football and tailgating is done.  six and the row  is out the window come november.

finally!  college football is making it's triumphant return into my life.

this is my favorite part of the year.  growing up in a sport/competitively inclined family, football season epitomizes my childhood and i could not have written the script any better. coincidentally enough, next weekend is also labor day. i'll be heading to bama to spend time with the fam and making that three hour trip to the ATL for the bama/clemson to open up the football season. 

have i mentioned how much i enjoy flying and bama football?  

me and The hubby are approaching one month and i keep reliving that amazing wedding weekend.  the pictures my photographer has released so far are beyond my imagination; i could not be luckier to have had such an incredible photographer. sometime soon, all of the pictures will be released and that will officially consume my life for the next 6 months to a year.

on a side note, me and deano went to the dmb concert here in houston last week and i will posting pictures from that soon.  by far, the greatest artist and live show, in my opinion :) unfortunately, leroi, one of the founding members, passed away this pas week.  i was lucky enough to have seen him perform live numerous times. i will surely miss his artistic talent and his presence.  so, pictures to come soon.

off to enjoy the much needed weekend.  i've been loving work...LOVING IT.  i could not be luckier to have such a wonderful job. alright....peace out world.

still trying to get my life back in order. 

spent my 25th birthday in houston with the hubby and he made it so special. i could not have married a better guy :) then, did some house hunting and watching the Olympics.

i will start to post more often soon and the pictures will be coming soon :)

it has been nearly a month since my last post...well, i went and got married and it kind of took up a lot of my time over the past month :)
